Getting to Rocky Point
Driving to Rocky Point from Arizona
Travel on US Highway 85, that intersects at the I-10 west of Phoenix, and south through Gila Bend. Cross the border at the Lukeville / Sonoyta border crossing. . Rocky Point is 63 miles south on Mexican Highway 8. Ther border is closed from midnight until 6am.
There are several shuttle companies that operate between Phoenix and Tucson to Rocky Point.
Driving to Rocky Point from California
Travel on US Highway 8 East from San Diego or US Highway 10 East from Los Angeles. You have the option of driving through to Arizona Highway 85 to the Lukeville / Sonoyta border, or crossing the border at either Algodones (crossing from California) or San Luis Rio Colorado (crossing from Arizona, south of Yuma).
Driving the Mexican Highway 2 East passing through the beautiful Desierto del Altar desert. Bring food and water, there are not a lot of stores between San Luis and Sonoyta. This is also the northern entrance to the Pinacate Reserve.

Air Travel to Rocky Point
There is a small airport at Puerto Penasco, used primarily by private planes.
The airport has a paved 5,000 feet air strip about 3 miles north of downtown. There is a small landing fee of around $10.

Sea Travel to Rocky Point
Puerto ('Port") Penasco has a large marina with commercial fleet, and private dock facilities. Check with the Captain of the Port if arriving by boat.
